Additionally, he founded The Boring Company to dig tunnels for soul-crushing traffic congestion relief and high-speed public transit purposes; additionally, Neuralink, his latest venture is developing brain-computer interface technology to allow people to control robotic devices using just their minds.
He is one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, and often uses Twitter as an outlet to voice his opinions on various subjects – most recently asserting that artificial intelligence could result in humanity’s demise.

SpaceX was established in 2002 to design, build and operate advanced rockets and spacecraft. As a private company dedicated to revolutionizing space technology with an aim of making it possible for humans to live on multiple planets in our solar system. He is the CEO of Neuralink
Musk has earned himself a reputation for firing people on the spot and for being insensitive towards others, according to biographer Walter Isaacson’s account of him as “confrontational know-it-all personality”, boasting of an “abundant ego”. Furthermore, he tends to be rude and argumentative with everyone around him.
Isaacson spent several weeks shadowing and attending meetings at Musk’s companies. Additionally, Isaacson conducted interviews with family, friends and colleagues of Musk to gain more insight into him as an individual and found him deeply committed to his work, spending long hours at it himself while expecting the same dedication from those he works alongside. Isaacson found out that Musk is relentlessly driven toward making money – this obsession extends even to his work relationships – demanding hard work from all those close to him and insisting they do as well.
Musk launched Neuralink in 2016 to develop brain machine interfaces for paralysis sufferers. Its headquarters are in San Francisco. Jared Birchall, a wealth manager who runs Musk’s family office, serves as its Chief Executive and CFO; Shivon Zilis serves as both Director at Neuralink as well as Mother to Two Twins of Musk; she also works at xAI that Musk co-founded but no longer owns as head of operations and special projects.
He is the CEO of OpenAI
Elon Musk founded OpenAI in 2015 as a non-profit dedicated to sharing its research for society. However, in 2018 he left due to a conflict of interest between OpenAI and Tesla which also uses AI technologies for development purposes.
Since then, he’s strongly opposed the company for deviating from its original open source mission and not placing enough importance on safe AI development. In March he even signed an open letter calling for a temporary moratorium on advanced AI until safeguards can be put in place.
But OpenAI founder Sam Altman disputes Elon Musk’s claims. He tells WIRED that OpenAI is not a non-profit and that Musk ignores Microsoft’s investments of billions in OpenAI.
